ADENIUM (FU GUI HUA/ DESERT ROSE/BUNGA CEMPAKA)
Spotted these beautiful plants in my neighbour’s garden. Plants lovers are usually social, and they will talk endlessly about their hobbies. I suppose it’s the same trend with people of different hobbies – they find their own wavelengths and share their resonance. These colourful flowers are really sensuous with their thick caudices (trunk), natural storage for water in the dry Saharan deserts. Fu (Rich or abundance) , Gui (lofty, majestic), Hua (flower) thrives well in hot sun, and can withstand dry spell; excessive water may rot the trunk.

Great collection of plants and flowers my friend.
I do like the Bonsai style plants, small pots yet plants that are beautiful in their own style and shape.

First, it’s good you have taken the time to read my blog, and I thank you pointed out it’s not Bunga Cempaka, then what is the right name for it. Adenium or Fu Gui Hua are probably correct, but not in Bahasa Malaysia. Second, I am not a gardener; the charming flowers are from my ex neighbour, Mdm. Tan.
