BLOSSOM AND SHEDDING BAI LI XIANG TREE

BAI LI XIANG TREE

Pardon me for unable to tell the scientific name of this tree. Can you help?

The Chinese name simply means it’s fragrance pervades a hundred miles, metaphorically, of course. It blooms about 2 -3 times per year. As it blossom within a day or two, with all the bees buzzing around, it sheds simultaneously, and all the flowers disappear within days, until the next blooming season. Perhaps the fragrance of life share the same transience, though living may last longer or shorter than the tree itself.
