DREADED DISEASE

This poem is composed in memory of my classmate. I attended his wake last night.

DREADED DISEASE

A sinking titanic, happens so fast,
on a rapid roller slope, truly aghast,
five weeks, body burdened by pain,
diagnosis, treatment options end in vain.
Now he rest in silent, painless comfort,
No time and energy for reconciliation effort.
Grudges they hold, hard to let go,
love turn sour, vinegar too good to throw.
When feeling cracks, the cells go mad,
hurt fuels blame, fire chokes, life is sad.
