Spring time, migratory birds fly back to their nests. Humans, rich or poor, return home for re-union. It is a traditional call for Chinese all over the world. The eve dinner is important for families. In our modern world, the Chinese in Malaysia will all dine in Chinese restaurants. This year the Chinese restaurants are fully booked a month ahead. We decided to have western meals in the evening, and traditional meals at home for lunch. I booked a private room at Sage. The meals and services were excellent.

Your great pictures show all the details of the fine foods, you enjoy.
They really are tempting even in picture form, the seafood soup looks tantalizingly hot and nourishing.

Thanks Emu, It’s the culinary science and art that contribute to fine dine. Ambience, service and company contribute to the gastronomic fun, with a good bottle of wine.

We all have five or six (incl mind) sense desire, and each will rate their own preference. Maslow’s basic hierarchy is just satiation of hunger; the upper being needs is food appreciation. Life is indeed full of ironic choices. Yet there is choice of gastronomic delight or status delight or both. To me, it’s all delight, including the family gathering.

uncertain which will kill first, rich or poor food, wine or no wine. We all die, only when, how, where and what. Where do you find meaning of life, other than your sense desire; the state of non desire may be just a denial of being human.
