NEW YEAR GREETING TO ALL: Turkish CUISINE ( arkadas café) & HOME COOKING
On New Year Eve we were invited to have lunch at a nearby Turkish restaurant. We have been to Turkey, and, frankly, were not impressed with the food and drinks there, but it’s a lovely visit. After a visit to this small restaurant, my prejudice about food and drinks in Turkey changed. I was surprised to learn the owner here once worked as a chef for the Embassy. I met two chef in the restaurant and was very surprised that the two cooks were Malaysian, waitress were Burmese, no Turkish helper there. The restaurant was located at Fusionopolis View, with many impressive architecture, well worth a visit on its own.
In the evening we have home meals, cooked by neighbours, and my family members. Clayfish and roast pork were excellent, lamb was juicy, turkey was good. We were supposed to partake our meals, dish by dish until countdown, but I dosed off before midnight; maybe the wine.
