I celebrate Mothers’ Day;

Mine has long passed away.

We observe her annual anniversary;

Display on traditional altar ceremony.

Her favourite foods are shared craving;

The livings match not her best cooking.

We dine at home when crowd is small;

Drives to the wall, then move to mall.

Family has extended, more mothers born;

Time has changed, traditional cord torn.

Generations follow impact by social media;

Care not about trade and sentiment mania.

Fathers: it’s wise to update and tag along;

Feel contented, I am happy to sing any song.
