MALAYSIAN TANKA ECHOES 19: COLLECTIVE AMNESIA

stung and imbibed blood

bloated and drunk by spirits

loot distillate

amnesia drink by yama

forget war atrocities

Note:

In Chinese mythologies, when beings died, their spirits faced judgement by King Yama (Hades). They were then re born in the realm that followed the merits and demerits of their previous lives. Prior to this, they were given a drink to forget the past, so that they could start anew, in a fair even chance. I supposed the burden or attachment of their past deeds were relevant. The drink-dosage at rebirth was also  important in the degree of amnesia, or selective loss, especially in negative herd mentality.
