MALAYSIAN HAIKU ECHOES 197: LIFE DISTILLATE

MALAYSIAN HAIKU ECHOES 197: LIFE DISTILLATE

Qaiser in 629 wrote on HEALING:

Many

 A draft bitter

 As poison, will become,

A healing for the heart that is,

 In love.

This is my response in haiku: LIFE DISTILLATE:

life distil the best

love double distillation

brew bitterness off

MALAYSIAN HAIKU ECHOES 196: STRANGERS

MALAYSIAN HAIKU ECHOES 196: STRANGERS

QAISER IN 628 wrote about STRANGERS thus:

How strange,

The thing called life —

Just when you think its yours,

It slithers from your embrace and,

 Escapes.

This is my response in Haiku:

strangers in your bed

 sleep and wake every moment

 escape into void

MALAYSIAN HAIKU/TANKA ECHOES 195: ROOF

MALAYSIAN HAIKU/TANKA ECHOES 195: ROOF

Claudia McGill composed an excellent haiku on an old stone structure:

Red roof tiles slick up

turn silver backs to the sky

 in the pounding rain

I was so inspired reading it, and added two extra seven syllables-line to turn her haiku into a tanka:

shelter against sun and rain

strong and leaked proof over years
