joy infuses at jade peak
Mount Tai is a UNESCO site. There are 7200 steps from the foothills to Jade Peak, where emperors performed their ritual, Feng Chan, pleading mandate from heaven and showed their performances and results on earth. There were rules prohibiting emperors from ascending, and only five had scalded Tai Shan in the long run of dynasties. Certainly they were all carried up; a great feat for those soldiers. We took a bus at the entrance, then a cable car to mid way, and climbed half the way.
The picture, with stone carved 1542 m, showed I had reached the peak. I did not chain and locked up that memory.
Confucius said the world looked miniscule from that height; even for giants and great ones, I presumed.
