Chinese white wine, baijiu or shaojiu, literally means boiled liqueur from fermented sorghum, contains more than 60% alcohol; and is not wine by western definition, but more of whisky. The small cup I had has 62% alcohol; cost me RMB 10, with the cup and a packet of nuts. Good fragrance with strong burning sip, and in large gulp, easy to go off balance.
