MALAYSIAN HAIKU/SENRYU ECHOES 478: DESTINATION
sun hidden by mist
start straight walk on destined path
obstacles test will

setbacks are not goal
step back, learn and move ahead
timeless tough trials

change never stand still
learn smart on stormy street scene
no fixed road to end

means must meet meaning
stand firm on aspiration
clean destination

Note:
This run of haiku/senryu is inspired by Sue Vincent’s photo prompt, with the theme of DESTINATION, posted on 1st August, 2019. The first picture belongs to her; the rest are copied and pasted from the web. Please visit her blog to read other writers’ response:
Destination is usually understood as a final goal or place as destined. It’s etymological root means to stand firm in the purpose or meaning. If the original aspiration is to upgrade our living, then the means should not degrade it; let alone to destroy it. We need to learn a new way of looking at things to overcome our obstacles.
