GODSIB/GOSSIP 13: REFLECTION ON 5 M ON SUNSET YEARS
Every month or two, at least a tooth will crack or a tooth filling drop. In August, I experienced four cracked teeth (including one with needle foundation and dropped filling). That feeling inspired me to compose the above Tanka.
The first M that flashes across my mind is Mastication. Without strong dentition, my dietary choice will have to change. Fortunately I am blessed with a good dental friend; he will fix my teeth without fees.
Second, Money supply is the fuel for all social and personal activity. Dental and medical cares are too expensive, and I have limited income (so far well managed).
Third, Mobility and Muscle power are related. Without independent mobility, life style will change drastically. We walk and do stretching exercises almost every day. It is not just for health and medical benefit, but for social contact, travel and going for meals and other visits (banking and paying bills).
Lastly, with activities, Memory decay will hopefully delay. That is the last marker of self-identity.
