TANKA TO TANKA INTERACTION ECHOES 112: GATES AND GUARDS

sound waves spread voices
flowing over and across
the wide-open sky
stretching out past gravity
through the narrow gates of speech
To honour another poet and her Tanka, this is my response:
unwary sense doors
free flow of affinity
aural to oral
message distortion across
care with the gates and lax guards
